Louve Spirits is a premium beverage brand founded in Sweden, dedicated to crafting rum and cocktails with unique character.
At our core is Månsken, a white rum made from organic Cuban sugarcane and Nordic spring water.
Handcrafted, distilled in small batches, and left to bask under the full moon before bottling.
Månsken offers a refined drinking experience, perfect for sipping, mixing, or serving as a base in cocktails, whichever you prefer.
The Making
Our Månsken Rum is unaged, meaning it has not been barrel-aged. This results in a clean, light character where the natural flavours of the distillation take center stage.
The process begins with a mash of organic Cuban sugarcane molasses, yeast, and water. After approximately three days of fermentation, the mash is carefully distilled in a traditional copper pot still and then rectified in a column still to an alcohol content of around 90%. It is then diluted with local spring water to reach a final alcohol content of 40%. Månsken Rum remains unfiltered to preserve its natural character and complexity.

Once Månsken Rum is distilled, Lisa—our witch and spiritual advisor—performs a Reiki ritual over the cask, infusing it with intention and energy. The rum is then exposed to the moonlight in an open cask under the full moon, when the moon’s energy and vibrations are at their peak.
We believe in the moon’s influence on the Earth and the way its energy transfers to the cask, becoming part of the spirit itself.
Environment
Our rum is produced at Tevsjö Mill & Distillery, a distillery committed to sustainability through a fully circular process.
By combining modern technology with renewable energy sources such as hydropower and wood pellets, Tevsjö Mill & Distillery minimises energy consumption while ensuring that the energy used is both sustainable and renewable. Byproducts from production are repurposed in various ways used as animal feed, for soil improvement, or by local bakeries. Creativity and resourcefulness drive their commitment to reuse and repurpose, ensuring a minimal environmental impact.
In spring 2025, we’re launching our ready-to-drink cocktail collection, available in both alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions. These cocktails offer a convenient yet sophisticated drinking experience. Until then, use Månsken in your own cocktails.
